Client takes £1,800 in compensation after skin laceration whilst on holiday in Mexico
Our client was on a package holiday with Thomas Cook/Airtours in Mexico. As she was going down a water slide she caught her left ankle causing a skin laceration. This became infected (cellulitis). She received treatment during the remainder of her holiday and she attended hospital in the UK upon her return. She had a tetanus and antibiotics and she was off work for two weeks.
The client made a full recovery from the physical symptoms within several weeks. The residual scarring was expected to fade within 6 to 12 months. Damages for pain, suffering and loss of amenity: £1,800.00.
