£4,000 compensation for supermarket slip

Our client was shopping in Asda.  She was pushing her trolley and slipped on berries that were strewn all over the floor. She was able to stop herself falling to the ground by hanging onto the trolley.  In doing this she suffered a wrenching and soft tissue injury to her neck and left shoulder.  She also sustained a soft tissue injury to her left knee.  She was off work for 10 days.

She was expected to make a full recovery within 20 months from the date of the incident.  Damages for her pain, suffering and loss of amenity: £4,000.00.
